EAPA Statement on the War in Ukraine
EAPA Statement on the War in Ukraine and its Consequences
Like many other scientific societies we wish to express our concern about the current developments in Ukraine and its effects on neighboring countries, other European countries and, in fact, the whole world. We mourn for the victims of the current aggression against the Ukraine and are inspired by the continued efforts and strength of the Ukrainian people. EAPA is a member of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (https://www.efpa.eu/statement-efpa-concerning-war-ukraine-and-action-relation-efpa-membership-russian-psychological) and we wish to reiterate their condemnation on behalf of its member associations of the war started by the Russian government on the Ukrainian people.
As a consequence EAPA’s Executive committee has decided to cease all cooperations with scientific institutions of the Russian Federation and Belarus. Further, we’re working on programs to support our colleagues in the Ukraine (e.g., schemes directed at waiving fees for conferences, etc.) and will actively work towards establishing cooperations.
We encourage our members and all visitors to this website to donate money to charitable foundations or help in other ways possible.
