Open call to host an invited symposium
Dear EAPA members,
Over the last months, all of us have faced new challenges that have changed our lives substantially. One of the many results of the current pandemic situation is that we, the European Association of Psychological Assessment, have decided not to host our biannual conference which was scheduled to take place in Warsaw in the summer of 2021.
However, we, the executive committee, feel that it is important to provide a place where new ideas can be showcased, shared, and discussed. For this reason, we are currently organizing an online keynote series for next summer – The EAPA Summer Series. We will host keynotes targeting educational, clinical, organizational, personality, and intelligence assessment as well as methodological advances in psychological assessment.
Besides, we seek to provide a platform where emerging scholars can present their work and extend their network. Therefore, we are making this open call to all young scholars in our association, asking them to apply to host an invited symposium in any of the six areas. The idea here is that members of the executive committee will mentor the young scholars and help them to put together a symposium. Each symposium will be held on the same day as the corresponding keynote. This way the young scholars will have a large audience to present their work to and also ample opportunity to extend their network.
f you are interested in hosting such a symposium, please write an email to Prof. Matthias Ziegler via firstname.lastname@example.org. The email should contain a current cv, a tentative title for the symposium, and names of potential presenters. The deadline is October 19.
We look forward to receiving your application! And, please keep your eyes open for more information on the EAPA Summer Series.
All the best and stay safe,
