Full paper submission deadline November 30, 2025

We are delighted to announce a forthcoming special collection of Psychological Test Adaptation and Development (PTAD), entitled “Debunking method myths: Rethinking conventional wisdom about methods in psychological measurement and assessment, other areas of psychology, and related fields.”
Aims and Scope
The aim of this special collection is threefold:
• To identify common beliefs about methods in measurement and related disciplines within psychology that have been perpetuated through  textbooks and other sources.
• To determine whether they qualify as myths or legends.
• To provide well-justified corrections that can inform future teaching, ultimately improving research and practice.
Each submission should focus on one common belief about methods, argue why it represents a myth or legend, and offer a correction or clarification.
