PhD Thesis Award: Call for nominations
The PhD Thesis Award is a prize for young researchers whose PhD thesis has made an important contribution to psychological assessment. The winner will receive 1,000 Euros and a two-year membership of EAPA.
Nominations are typically submitted by the supervisor of the thesis, but self-nominations are also allowed. EAPA membership is required for either the nominee or the supervisor. The PhD Thesis Award Committee, consisting of four members appointed by the EAPA Executive Committee, is chaired by the past president of EAPA: Prof. René Proyer (MLU Halle-Wittenberg, Germany). Please do not hesitate to contact him with any inquiries you may have about the award.
Nominations must include the following materials:
- a short statement delineating the contribution of the thesis;
- a curriculum vitae (CV);
- a list of publications; and
- a short video (3 to 5 minutes) in which the PhD student presents the main findings from their thesis. The winning student's video will be uploaded to our website and YouTube channel. A statement granting permission to upload the video upon winning is also required. Please note that the video will not be part of the evaluation process!
Eligible theses must have been submitted and/or defended in 2023 or 2024.
The deadline for submissions is: November 30th, 2024. All materials should be sent to René Proyer via email (rene.proyer@psych.uni-halle.de).
